Dr Calvin Phang is a general and interventional cardiologist at St John of God Geelong Hospital and University Hospital Geelong.

After graduating from University of Melbourne, he completed his basic physician training at Austin Health in Melbourne. He undertook advanced training in Cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney and Central Coast in NSW. He returned to Melbourne after securing Interventional Cardiology fellowships at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne and The Northern Health.

He is well-published and actively involved in multicentre trials, research projects and audits. He is a reviewer for several highly reputable journals such as Eurointervention and Asiaintervention. He is also a reviewer for National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia (NHMRC) grants. He is regularly invited to speak at national conferences.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and an International Associate of the American College of Cardiology. He is a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University.

He is passionate about providing a high standard of care and compassion to all his patients. He also believes in providing prompt communications to all his referrers.
