We have long benefited from the countless hours of dedication provided by volunteers in our hospital.
We recognise and appreciate their significant contribution which is an integral part of the distinctive care we provide our patients.
If you have a few hours a week or a day here or there to spare, consider volunteering your time, skills and positive energy to help people at St John of God Richmond Hospital.
If you are interested in helping people out in the community, we also have volunteering opportunities available through LINCS (Living in Communities Volunteer Scheme).
Volunteering at St John of God Richmond Hospital
We have a variety of volunteer roles either behind-the-scenes or directly working with our caregivers to coordinate patient activities. We always try to match the skills, interests and abilities of the volunteer with the roles we have available at the hospital.
Examples of volunteer roles at our hospital include:
- bus driving
- organising movie afternoons for patients
- administration activities
All volunteers receive orientation and training and we regularly provide opportunities for personal development and hold social activities to thank you for the hard work that you do.
Volunteering for LINCS (Living in Communities Volunteering Scheme)
As part of our partnership with LINCS we coordinate their volunteer activities on their behalf. LINCS volunteers provide home-visiting support for families with young children.
Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to apply for a role, or to discuss any questions you have about volunteering for the hospital or LINCS.
