At St John of God Richmond Hospital, we provide a range of amenities to ensure you have everything you need during your stay with us.
Our client and guest facilities
We are committed to the health and wellbeing of our clients by making sure they have what they need in the time they spend with us.
Dining room
Clients are encouraged to have their meals in our central spacious dining room. Family and friends are welcome; an EFTPOS machine is available for payment in the dining room.
Meal times
Breakfast: 7:30 am to 9 am weekdays (8 am to 9 am on weekends)
Lunch: 12 pm to 1 pm
Dinner: 5 pm to 6 pm
Our rotating menu, developed by our head chef in consultation with registered dietitians, provides choice and variety for many different needs. Individual food requirements can be accommodated by speaking to our catering department.
You can also find vending machines located throughout the hospital.
Gibson’s Cafe
Our onsite cafe is located at the front of the hospital, adjacent to the dining room, and serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes, sandwiches and light meals.
Monday to Friday: 8 am to 2:30 pm
Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm
Exercise and leisure
Our Wellness Centre is equipped with a 20 metre indoor heated pool, full gymnasium, yoga studio and massage room. We also have an outdoor exercise track and golf course onsite.
Our exercise physiologists offer a range of yoga sessions and gym programs. We also offer sessions with a specialist massage therapist several days per week at an additional cost.
Please note, you need clearance from your treating doctor to access the gym. Gym opening times vary. Please check your unit noticeboard for current times.
Free Wi-Fi
Staying in touch with loved ones isn’t limited to visiting hours with our hospital Wi-Fi. Both patients and visitors can enjoy free internet access during their stay.
