As a Mission driven, for purpose organisation, our commitment to social justice is part of who we are. We exist to benefit the community, especially those most in need.

One of the ways we do this is by providing free or low-cost community mental health and homelessness services that empower individuals, families and communities across Australia and beyond to transform their lives.

Our community mental health services

Our community mental health services can be accessed across New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, and include:

  • low cost or no cost psychological support and counselling
  • specialist perinatal mental health support for families including new parents
  • depression and other support groups for mental health conditions
  • drug and alcohol support services

St John of God Mental Wellbeing Services

St John of God Mental Wellbeing Services provides low or no-cost mental health support to people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, adjustment difficulties and other mental health challenges living in Western Australia and Victoria.

St John of God Raphael Services

St John of God Raphael Services provides no or low cost emotional and mental health support for parents during pregnancy and the early years of parenting living in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.

St John of God Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal Network (DAWN)

St John of God Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal Network (DAWN) is a free and confidential home-based drug and alcohol withdrawal service delivered by experienced clinical nurse specialists in Perth and Peel regions, Western Australia.

St John of God South West Community Alcohol and Drug Services

St John of God South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS) makes it easier for people to understand, reduce and address harmful alcohol and other drug use providing free support across Western Australia’s South West region.

Medicare Mental Health Centres

Perth-based Medicare Mental Health Centres offer a welcoming walk-in community service where adults with mild to moderate mental health concerns and their support networks/carers can access free and confidential mental health information, services and support.

Our homelessness support services

Our homelessness support services can be accessed across New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, and include:

  • wrap around supports for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • specialised support for young people aged 16 to 22 (WA and Victoria)
  • specialised support for those impacted by trauma, illness or life challenges (Sydney)

St John of God Horizon House

St John of God Horizon House provides safe, stable accommodation and tailored wrap around support for young people aged 16 to 22 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness living in Western Australia and Victoria.

St John of God Casa Venegas

St John of God Casa Venegas provides wrap around support services for people whose mental wellbeing and housing have been impacted by trauma, illness or life challenges living in Inner West Sydney, Western Sydney and Southern Sydney.
