Dr Alamgeer is a medical oncologist specialising in treating cancers with chemotherapy, novel targeted therapies and immune therapies. After completing his internal medicine in the UK, he moved to Australia in 2006 and completed a fellowship in medical oncology. He has a doctorate from Monash University, investigating the biology and therapeutic targeting of cancer stem cells. His research has been published in several journals and has been presented at national and international scientific conferences.

Dr Alamgeer is available for consultation and treatment of all solid tumours. He has special interest in the treatment of cancers of the thoracic area (lung, mesothelioma, oesophagus), head and neck region and melanoma. He also has visiting rights at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Monash Health, where he manages patients in clinical trials to ensure early access to the latest therapies.

Dr Alamgeer commenced private practice at The Bays Hospital in 2015 and was actively involved in the development of the medical oncology and chemotherapy service at The Bays Hospital.
