Paul Dyer - Chief Executive Officer
Paul Dyer has more than 20 years' experience in leadership roles in a variety of hospital settings, including CEO roles at St John of God Geraldton Hospital, St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital and St John of God Midland Private Hospital. Previously, he held senior nursing executive roles at St John of God Bendigo Hospital and St John of God Burwood Hospital and a number of board positions. Paul has completed a Master in Business Administration, Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Certificate in Management and Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture.
Royce Vermeulen - Chief Operating Officer
Royce has more than 20 years’ experience working in a variety of roles in the health sector, including senior health service and facility project roles. Formerly a physiotherapist, Royce has completed a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Western Australia. Previously Royce worked for Serco Asia Pacific (Fiona Stanley Hospital), Aurora Projects and the South Metropolitan Area Health Service.
Dr Helen Harris - Director of Medical Services
Helen is a specialist medical administrator with a background of 17 years in general practice. Previously she has worked in Queensland, Tasmania and Northern Territory in the public hospital sector, private general practice, correctional health, youth detention, universities, community health centres and a quarantine facility.
Janet Jones - Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Clinical Governance
Janet has extensive experience in senior level nursing and is passionate about safety and quality. Previously, Janet was a Nurse Director at Fiona Stanley Hospital, overseeing a range of inpatient and outpatient medical services. Prior to the role, Janet was the Program Manager Transition and Decommissioning at Swan Kalamunda Health Services and worked closely with our then Midland Project Team to successfully transition Swan District Hospital services, staff and patients to our hospital. Janet holds a Masters of Nursing from Edith Cowan University and a postgraduate diploma in infection control.
Colin Young - Director of Finance and Business Services
Colin has 20 years’ experience working in private health care. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant, has completed a Masters of Accounting from Curtin University and is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management. Colin has worked at St John of God Health Care for more than a decade and has held senior management positions at St John of God Murdoch and Subiaco hospitals as well as Group Services.
Michele Allum - Director of Mission Integration
Michele focuses on shaping the organisational culture to ensure the innate dignity of each person is valued and upheld. She works to ensure the Values of St John of God Health Care are brought to life by the way in which all caregivers treat one another, our patients and their loved ones. She also engages widely with an extensive range of individuals and groups to ensure community needs are understood. Michele's career spans more than 25 years’ experience across private sector, public sector, health care and not-for-profit services.
Sarah Tegeler - Director Strategy and Service Development
Sarah has worked for almost 20 years in the health care sector, starting her career as a physiotherapist at Fremantle Hospital as well as working in United Kingdom-based hospitals. She then moved into project management roles and was involved in the commissioning of Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals. Sarah has completed a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Western Australia.
Erin Wilson - Director of Allied Health and Outpatient Services
Erin has more than 17 years’ experience in senior leadership positions in clinical, management, policy and project roles across public hospital and private health settings. Previously, Erin has held numerous program director, associate program director and clinical operations management roles for Mercy Health and Eastern Health in Victoria, where she was responsible for a large suite of multi- disciplinary and multi-site services spanning acute, sub-acute, ambulatory and primary health services. Erin was also a non-executive director for a rural hospital in Victoria. Formerly a physiotherapist, Erin has also completed a degree in Medical Science and Masters in Public Health - Health Services Management from the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University and is graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
