Jack Harding


Chief Executive Officer

Jack Harding was appointed Chief Executive Officer at St John of God Bunbury Hospital in May 2024.

Jack was previously the Director of Projects and Redevelopment at the hospital. He was also the hospital’s Director of Corporate Services prior to his appointment to  CEO.

He has extensive hospital and health care sector experience, having held several executive positions, including acting CEO at St John of God Bunbury Hospital and St John of God Geraldton Hospital. Jack has worked in senior leadership roles within large National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in the UK.

His experience includes an integral role in the construction and commissioning of the St John of God Bunbury Hospital cancer, coronary care and renal dialysis services expansions.

Jack has a Masters of Science in Leadership, Management and Change in Health and Social Care and also holds a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Commerce.

Rebecca Ward


Director Mission Integration

Rebecca Ward came to St John of God Bunbury Hospital as Director Mission Integration (DMI) in May 2019.

Rebecca worked for a number of years as the Manager of Adult Education at Diocesan Office in the Catholic Diocese in Bunbury.

Rebecca has past experiences in leadership and teaching roles with Catholic Education WA and brings over 25 years of experience working in Catholic organisations.

Kym Cockin


Director of Nursing and Midwifery

Kym Cockin was appointed to the role of Director of Nursing and Midwifery at St John of God Bunbury Hospital in July 2013.

Kym has been a Registered Nurse for 33 years with a strong background in clinical and non-clinical leadership positions.

Kym has experience in the quality and safety and in clinical service redesign. She also has project management experience across corporate, commercial, health sector and government organisations.

Mark Hanley


Director of Finance

Mark Hanley was appointed Finance Manager at St John of God Hospital Bunbury in July 2003.

Mark is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).

Prior to joining the hospital, Mark worked in the media and education sector.

He became the Director of Finance at St John of God Bunbury Hospital in 2022.

Alistair Brown


Director Corporate Services

Alistair Brown has been employed by St John of God Bunbury Hospital since 1997 and was appointed the role of Director Corporate Services in 2020.

Over the past 25 years, Alistair has held a variety of positions at St John of God Bunbury Hospital, including Nurse Unit Manager, Area Manager, Clinical Nurse and Registered Nurse. 
Alistair’s qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Coronary Care.

Alistair also has business management experience from owning and operating his own business prior to working in health care.

Nicole Scott


Director of Business and Service Development

Nicole Scott was appointed to the Business and Service Development role in February 2020. Nicole has extensive experience in St John of God Health Care having worked as a nurse within the organisation for many years. She has a keen interest in oncology nursing and has worked a in a variety of senior management and resource positions at Bunbury.

Additionally Nicole has worked for St John of God Group Services to implement national projects.

Nicole is passionate about developing services that will serve the community in the South West and ensure patients can receive care closer to home whenever possible.

James Shepherd


Director Hospital Contracts and Project Delivery

James was appointed to the role of Director Hospital Contracts and Project Delivery in January 2025. He brings extensive experience in negotiating and managing public sector contracts and delivering on projects and services. He has lived and worked in the South West for 15 years in local government as well as in the public and private sectors.

James is also the Chair of the Board of the South West Academy of Sport.

Sara is an innovative and passionate senior executive with experience in a number of roles across different industries and specialises in organisational development, talent acquisition, employee development, industrial relations and team management.
