Being Murdoch

St John of God Murdoch Theatres is a fast-paced environment and we work hard. We make no apologies for it and there’s no time to be bored here.

We work hard because we care

We care about our patients receiving the best clinical and compassionate care and we care about our team members.  While you’re busy caring for others, the hospital is busy caring about you. We invest in our people with training, and professional and personal development. These aren’t just throw away lines, we mean it.

We are looking for people with a good work ethic. You’ll be rewarded with benefits and perks beyond your pay check, but there’s also something you can’t put a price on. You’ll go home feeling fulfilled about a solid day’s work. Work that has made a huge difference in someone’s life.

Murdoch Theatres

We have 16 main operating theatres, an angio suite, endoscopy unit and St John of God Murdoch Hospital Surgicentre. You’ll be exposed to the latest in surgical technology, including robotics, and work with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based onsite in our consulting suites.

Our Clinical Command Centre is the hub that oils the theatre machine, with information feeding into and out of a central location to co-ordinate patient flow, equipment and available beds in recovery and on the wards. Our super-organised CCC Team know exactly where patients are up to on their theatre journey at all times.

The benefits

The theatres caregiver tearoom is serviced all day long with fresh snacks and a seriously good coffee machine to use whenever you like, all free of charge. You’re also welcome to visit the main caregiver dining room to purchase meals from our daily changing menu as well.

As a St John of God Health Care caregiver, you’re also offered great employee benefits.

MURTEC

MURTEC is the southern regions most comprehensive clinical training and conferencing facility and is utilised by our caregivers to keep up to date with clinical competencies and exceptional patient care.

Our state of the art, modern facilities including clinical exam simulation rooms and a single and double demonstration ward and we have a learning and development team ready to help you!
