Ben Edwards - Chief Executive Officer
Ben Edwards was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of St John of God Murdoch Hospital in April 2017. He was previously Acting CEO at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital since last November and prior to this role, he led the Transformation Team’s innovative work on the One Pathology Program, Procedural Areas Transformation Program and Business Analytics and Reporting Program.
Ben’s early career involved six years in the NHS in the UK. He completed their graduate management program and ran all clinical services across a multi campus NHS Trust.
He then spent 10 years in health care consulting in the UK and Australia with Ernst and Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Alison Parr - Director Medical Services
Alison qualified in Medicine in the UK and has been a Specialist in Palliative Medicine since 2002. She moved to Australia in 2014 to join St John of God Murdoch Hospital as Director of Hospice and Palliative Care Services, having been Medical Director of a UK Hospice for seven years prior. She worked part time as Deputy Director Medical Services for 18 months and has been in her current role since June 2017. Alison also works part time as Discipline Leader for Palliative Medicine at the University of Notre Dame, has completed the Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture and is currently completing an MBA.
Dani Meinema - Director of Nursing
Dani has held many senior nursing management roles across the private sector including St John of God Geraldton and Murdoch Hospitals and Hollywood Private Hospital. She came to St John of God Murdoch Hospital from Glengarry Private Hospital, where she held the positions of Chief Executive Officer, Director of Nursing and as Clinical Services Director.
Dani holds an undergraduate Nursing Diploma, a Bachelor of Nursing and recently completed a Masters of Health and Human Services Management at Deakin University.
Dilwyn Griffiths - Director of Finance
Dilwyn joined St John of God Health Care in 2015. Originally from Zimbabwe, Dilwyn completed his studies in the UK and holds ACA (ICAEW). Having started his career in auditing Dilwyn has gone on to work in a diverse range of industries from construction to dot com, manufacturing to mining, all providing the experience brought to his current role with SJGHC.
Colin Keogh - Director of Mission Integration
Colin has a broad range of professional experience, having held positions with the WA Council of Social Services, the Minister for Community Services, Lecturer at UWA and Edith Cowan University and more recently as Director Family Information and Adoption Services.
He has completed a Masters of Arts in Public Policy, a Bachelor of Social Work and has studied both Theology and Philosophy.
Michael Salter - Director Corporate Services
Michael has worked with St John of God Health Care for 12 years and commenced with St John of God Murdoch Hospital in August 2017. Michael has extensive experience at an executive leadership level across the public health sector and St John of God Heath care. He previously oversaw facilities management across St John of God Health Care's Perth Northern Hospitals that include Midland, Mt Lawley and Subiaco.
Roshan Weddikkara - Director Business and Services Development, Marketing and Community Relations
Appointed to this executive position in 2015, Roshan was St John of God Murdoch’s Marketing Manager since 2009, and has nearly 20 years’ experience in marketing, public relations and community relations in health care, local and state government and finance industries.
Roshan’s academic qualifications including public relations, internet studies and graphic design and has completed the Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Identity.
