Postnatal home services

Postnatal care

We focus on supporting a smooth recovery for mothers, infant wellbeing, and empowering families with the knowledge and support they need for a confident start to life as a new family.

During postnatal care home visits, our registered midwives can provide you with:

maternal assessments, including wound and perineum care
newborn assessments, including weighing the baby
maternal and newborn health and wellbeing support
breastfeeding support

Newborn screening

Our home visiting midwives can complete newborn screening assessments in your home, including:

Newborn Bloodspot Screening
Pulse Oximetry Screening to Detect Critical Congenital Heart Disease
Transcutaneous Bilirubin

Lactation consultations (Perth only)

We know that support with breastfeeding and lactation is important, which is why we provide home visits delivered by midwives who are also International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC).

As well as receiving consultations in the comfort of your own home, we’ll also provide a personalised breastfeeding care plan through your lactation consultant.

Perth

These services are available across metropolitan Perth, extending from Secret Harbour in the south to Quinns Rocks in the north. We also visit homes as far east as Mundaring, Kalamunda and Roleystone in the Perth Hills.

Geelong

These services are available in Geelong and surrounding areas.
