Dr Chau Wang Ng is a consultant nephrologist and general physician at Bendigo Health and St John of God Bendigo Hospital.

He graduated from Monash University Medical School with Honours in 2011. He underwent physician training and obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2019, having trained in nephrology at Austin Health, Bendigo Health, Peninsula Health, and Launceston General Hospital.

He undertook further post-fellowship general medicine advanced training with additional experiences in general medicine and intensive care medicine at Austin Health, as well as obstetric medicine at Mercy Hospital for Women. He has also completed a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

Dr Ng developed strong interest in regional medicine after spending significant amount of postgraduate training time in regional centres, including a year of nephrology training at Bendigo Health in 2018. As such, he always longed to return to Bendigo and support the local community.

Upon completion of his post-fellowship training, Dr Ng moved to Bendigo in 2022 to join Bendigo Health as a visiting consultant general physician and nephrologist. He conducts private consulting sessions at consulting rooms in Bendigo and admits private inpatients at St John of God Bendigo Hospital.

He is passionate about providing a holistic longitudinal care for his patients.

He welcomes referrals for all areas of nephrology, including but not limited to acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, glomerular diseases, dialysis, obstetric medicine, perioperative medicine, and kidney transplantation in conjunction with respective parent hospital transplant team.
