Through our dedicated Clinical Academy caregivers can enrol in tailored learning programs across nursing specialties, mental health, allied health, midwifery, and leadership. Caregivers may also pursue post-graduate studies with our Australia-wide tertiary partners, and apply for tuition support through our scholarship program.
Our Chief Nursing Officer Janet Jones, who began her career with us as a Clinical Nurse more than 20 years ago, highlights the Clinical Academy as a key initiative supporting our caregivers’ career growth.
“We want to equip our clinical caregivers with ongoing development and education to contribute to St John of God Health Care being a great place to work, and so that they are fully supported to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to our patients every day.
“We are so proud of the best practice learning programs that we have created which meet the needs of our caregivers, patients and clients. Our caregivers can choose to enrol in programs that suit their professional interests, and these are offered at a self-directed pace through a mix of online learning, face-to-face and simulation training,” Ms Jones said.
Below is a snapshot of the career pathways and supporting development programs that St John of God Health Care offers at all stages of our caregivers’ clinical careers.
So join us, and grow your career path within a supportive, learning-focussed environment!
