Dr Talluri completed most of his education in India. He worked as a psychiatrist in India and participated and collaborated in WHO-funded community psychiatry research.
His interests include adult psychiatry with special interest in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction medicine, rehabilitation, personality disorders, PTSD and conflict situation syndromes. He is also interested in trans-cultural psychiatry and aged psychiatry.
