Dr Karl Najjar is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with an award from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Karl was awarded a Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery overseas in the year 2000. Prior to embarking on specialist training Dr Karl Najjar was employed at multiple hospitals in Australia and overseas which assisted in forming a solid grounding in general medicine and surgery.

Karl’s passion led him to pursue advanced diploma training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and was awarded the DRANZCOG Advanced Degree from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists whilst preparing to commence high level specialist training. He has worked at multiple tertiary and metropolitan hospitals in Victoria and Queensland, starting his speciality training at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and continuing at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.

In addition Karl completed further training in advanced gynaecological open surgery, laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery as a Fellow at the Gynaecology Oncology Unit at Monash Medical Centre. His interest in technology has also led him to explore further training with the intuitive da Vinci robotic system in Australia and Asia
