Dr Andrew Hart received his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Western Australia in 2002.

He spent his junior medical career at Royal Perth Hospital including rotations to Port Hedland and Swan District before undertaking advanced training in Palliative Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Murdoch Hospice, leading to Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Palliative Medicine Division.

Since this, in addition to commencing work at St John of God Subiaco Hospital with their palliative care service, he has continued running the Kalamunda Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

He has reluctantly relinquished his soccer career (but continues to follow the game), instead enjoying running when time allows.

One of three boys, Andrew is also attempting to get in touch with his feminine side, having had his heart stolen first by his wife Elizabeth the Echocardiographer, and more recently by daughters Aurora and Eleanor, who keep him on his toes even when not running.
