Professor Krishna Boddu is a specialist anaesthetist with substantial experience in pain management is currently working as Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and holds administrative position as Director of Regional Anaesthesia in Perth, Australia. He is adjunct Professor at Curtin University Medical School, Western Australia, Perth.

His clinical interests are to identify and treat the root cause of pain in particular, chronic postoperative pain, nerve entrapments and myofascial pain syndromes. His work has been highlighted on national media.

As a Professor of anesthesiology, head of acute pain and regional anesthesia at University of Texas in Houston, he introduced acute pain service with a goal to improve functionality. He also established regional anesthesia service and enhanced acute pain service at MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC). He was recipient of Golden Apple Seed award by The Department of Anesthesiology, University of Washington for Excellence in Teaching and became teaching scholar at the Department of Bio Informatics, University of Washington, Seattle.

Professor Boddu developed multi-screen multimedia hands on ultrasound guided regional anesthesia workshops which became the most popular regional anesthesia workshop in many countries. He introduced the concept of Acute Pain Nurse Expertise at Point of Care by developing Path for Pain Championship program at University of Texas. He published several original articles in the field of regional anesthesia and acute pain.

He was also on editorial board for journals in the field of pain and regional anesthesia. Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Boddu has lectured extensively and taught numerous advanced regional anesthesia and pain management courses to residents and faculty, locally, nationally and internationally.

Throughout his career, Prof. Boddu has contributed significantly to clinical care, education, research and administration.
