Dr Vamsi Batta is a neonatal paediatrician who is specialised in providing care for newborn babies, particularly ill and premature babies.

He has over 12 years of clinical experience in the field of neonatal and perinatal medicine by working at major tertiary neonatal units in Western Australia (King Edward Memorial Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital) and also from overseas paediatric hospitals.

Dr Batta has completed his Neonatology Fellowship from Royal Australasian College of Physicians at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital, WA.

He has also completed a Diploma in Child Health from University of Sydney.

His special interests include preterm infants, neonatal retrievals, neonatal respiratory disorders and neonatal resuscitation. He is also one of the accredited facilitators for the advanced neonatal resuscitation and neonatal stabilisation training courses.

Dr Batta is currently working as a consultant neonatologist at St John of God Subiaco Hospital and as a neonatal retrieval consultant at Perth Children’s Hospital in NETS WA (Newborn Emergency Transport Service, WA).
