Dr Farhaan Altaf is a highly trained Spinal Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Before moving to Perth, he was a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at the world renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, UK. He has also undertaken a number of prestigious international fellowships at the Vancouver General Hospital in Canada, at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, at the Centre des Massues in Lyon, France and at the Nanoori Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.  

Dr Altaf currently works as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital, providing a state-of-the-art spinal service to the people of Western Australia. Dr Altaf’s clinical practice is exclusively dedicated to spinal surgery. He listens respectfully, understands fully and creates individualised personalised care plans for each and every person he sees. His experience extends from traditional non-operative treatments to the most advanced and innovative technologies, including minimally invasive and computer-assisted 3D navigation surgery. He is particularly skilled in the most complex surgeries, including revision spinal surgery for degenerative pathologies.
