Dr Edmund Lee graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2000 and completed his internship and basic physician training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
After finishing his advanced cardiology training at Fremantle Hospital, Dr Lee embarked on an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Mazankowski's Heart Institute in Edmonton, Canada from 2010 to 2012.
Dr Lee is an on-call interventional cardiologist at Fremantle Hospital for acute coronary syndromes. He practices in conjunction with Dr John O'Shea and is available for cardiology consultation at Murdoch, Rockingham, Mandurah, Warwick, Geraldton, Bunbury and the Kimberley.
Whilst having a broad interest in general cardiology, Dr Lee's main areas of expertise are the management of complex coronary artery disease with stenting and minimally invasive therapies for atrial septal defect, patent foramen ovale and hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.
Other interests include the percutaneous management of valvular heart disease, right heart catheterisation (with particular focus on pre/post transplantation workup), heart biopsies, pacemaker implantation and transoesophageal echocardiography.
