Dr Glen Brand has more than 30 years’ specialist experience as a consultant physician with a special interest in gastroenterology.

He graduated from the University of Western Australia and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

He worked as a Consultant General Physician and Gastroenterologist in Kalgoorlie for 12 years before returning to Perth in 2000 to work at Royal Perth Hospital and Swan District Hospital. He set up the Midland Private Endoscopy service in 2002.

He was head of the medical unit at Swan District Hospital for 10 years and currently works as a General Physician and Gastroenterologist at the St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals. 

Dr Brand has a broad interest in the management of all gastroenterology disorders and particularly enjoys helping people understand why they have the symptoms that concern them.

Dr Brand performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy and welcomes referrals for direct access endoscopy including for colorectal cancer screening.
