We provide specialist services to mums, dads and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health issues during pregnancy and following childbirth (the perinatal period).

Our services can be accessed from the time you become pregnant until your child is four years old.

We take a holistic approach to supporting you and your family and help you connect emotionally with your child if you are experiencing mental health issues.

We also offer counselling and support for parents around prenatal testing and pregnancy loss.

Who can access Raphael Services?

You can access our services by referral from your general practitioner (GP). We welcome clients from all cultural backgrounds and walks of life.

You don’t need to have been a St John of God Health Care maternity patient or have private health insurance to access our services. 

Please note, we are not a crisis service. In the event of a crisis, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, your local community mental health service, or hospital emergency department.

What does it cost?

We actively implement strategies to ensure that our services are physically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally safe. The welfare of the children/young people in our care is our first priority and we have zero tolerance towards child abuse, which is any act committed against a child/young person involving physical violence, sexual offences, emotional and/or psychological abuse or neglect.
