What are women and men’s health physiotherapists?

Continence and women’s health or pelvic floor physiotherapists hold postgraduate qualifications specialising in the management of continence and pelvic health. This enables them to design a personalised pelvic health program just for you.

What to expect

Our women’s and men’s health physiotherapists will complete a thorough assessment including:

  • a detailed history of your condition
  • real time ultrasound
  • lumbo-pelvic muscle function
  • diagnosis and treatment planning and goal setting.

Their treatment may include:

  • biofeedback
  • education and advice
  • exercise programs 
  • management strategies.

We offer both physiotherapy outpatient and casual appointments.

If you have a referral, please call to commence your outpatient rehabilitation program.

No referral?

Our casual physiotherapy appointments do not require a doctor referral and are available to anyone in the community, you do not need to have been a patient in our hospital. 

Please note: A GP referral is required for a Chronic Disease Management Scheme and DVA claiming.
