Graduated from Dundee University Medical School Scotland in 1985. Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists London 1994.

Spent a year in Adelaide in 1995 as a locum consultant Anaesthetist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital gaining experience in Bariatric surgery.

Has been a Visiting Medical Practitioner at St John of God Hospital Bunbury since 2005 and has been providing anaesthesia for Bariatric surgery and all other surgical specialties on a regular basis since her arrival.
