Dr Bernie is a specialist plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon, who has special interests in reconstructive plastic surgery, hand surgery and all aspects cosmetic surgery of the breast and the body. Additionally, he is well versed in complex microsurgical reconstruction.

Dr Bernie graduated from the University of Western Australia with Honours in a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, subsequently completing specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This was followed by further post-fellowship experience in advanced reconstructive procedures in Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is committed to teaching upcoming plastic surgeons at major tertiary centers across Perth and to the preparation for their fellowship exam, as well as academically regularly reviewing journal articles and textbooks.

Dr Bernie now consults privately out of Subiaco offering an extensive repertoire of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery as part of the Western Australian Plastic Surgery Centre, as well as working with the HANDOC team in managing hand injuries.
