Dr Anitha Karunairajah is a General Surgeon, specialising in breast oncoplastic surgery. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and full member of BreastSurgANZ.

Having obtained her medical degree in Scotland, she then completed her general surgery training in Queensland. Following this, she completed a two year Fellowship in Breast and Oncoplastic Surgery here in Perth and in Melbourne. 

She currently holds a public consultant position at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Her role includes being a specialist Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon as well as an acute General Surgeon. She is actively involved in teaching, research and training of junior doctors.

She has a special interest in prosthetic reconstruction following a mastectomy, perforator flaps, fat injection and grafting, gynaecomastia, breast conserving surgery as well as mastopexies, reductions and symmetrisation.
