• Haemoptysis
• Lung nodule or mass or cavitating lesion
• Lung cancer (primary or metastatic cancer)
• Enlarged intrathoracic lymph nodes (eg mediastinal or hilar lymph nodes)
• Mediastinal or intrathoracic mass pleural thickening, pleural effusion or pericardial effusion
• Pneumothorax (primary or secondary pneumothoraces, spontaneous or iatrogenic or traumatic)
• Lung blebs / bulla / cyst
• Haemothorax
• Lung abscess
• Pleural infection / empyema
• Rib or sternal abnormalities (trauma and non-traumatic conditions) e.g. rib fractures and complications
• Non-cardiac chest pain
• Chest wall mass
• Diaphragmatic pathology
• Any other thoracic condition (localised severe bronchiectasis for resection; emphysema for endoscopic valve treatment etc.
