Conrad completed General Surgery undergraduate training at Monash University, continuing on with Southern Health as a Registrar. Since receiving his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Conrad has continued to practice in the full range of general and laparoscopic surgical procedures. As further training, he enjoyed a Fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Melbourne, and an Oncoplastic Fellowship at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

In both Fellowships, he focused on further training in surgical oncology specializing in breast cancer treatment and oncoplastic reconstruction, in addition to complex melanoma/skin cancer treatment and reconstruction.

Since 2005, Conrad has enjoyed living and working in Geelong in both the private and public hospitals.
