Patient makes cross stich in appreciation of care received at St John of God Bendigo Hospital's rehabilitation ward.

Margaret donated the amazing piece to the rehabilitation ward in appreciation for all the care she has received from our caregivers and volunteers.

What makes this gift extra special is that it took Margaret 7 months to make and her husband, Patrick (who sadly recently passed away) handmade the frame.

Margaret's granddaughter Bree Blake accompanied Margaret when she presented us with the cross stitch of the Last Supper.
“She wanted to give something back to the hospital after they took such great care of her,” Mrs Blake said.

A beautiful piece of work crafted with love, St John of God Bendigo is truly blessed to accept this heartfelt gift. We will be hanging the cross stitch on our Rehabilitation Unit which will be a constant reminder of Margaret, Partick and the great work provided by our caregivers and volunteers.

Thank you Margaret and Patrick.
