St John of God Health Care Group Director of Nursing and Patient Experience Dani Meinema congratulated the award winners.

“We are proud to see our Mt Lawley hospital’s Specialist Rehabilitation Service team, as well as Victoria and Kate, receiving recognition for their contributions and the exceptional care they provide to patients,” Dani said.

“They exemplify our Values and focus on delivering compassionate, person-centred care as part of our Mission.

“These awards show just how highly regarded our care and services are and that is led directly by our caregivers who are supporting patients directly, day in, day out.”

Also nominated for awards were St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals Learning and Development Coordinator Sonya Jones, who was a finalist in the Excellence in Education category and St John of God Subiaco Hospital’s palliative care consult nursing team, who was a finalist in the same category as St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital’s specialist rehabilitation team (Excellence in Person Centre Care – Team Award).

The Awards – now in their 18th year – celebrate more than 41,000 WA nurses and midwives working in the public, private and non-government sectors every year.
