As a part of the visit, Claire Cunningham from the Irish technology company Sonru provided a presentation on how their video recruitment is used by St John of God Health Care.

“Sonru was used extensively at St John of God Berwick Hospital to help recruit for the new 200 job opportunities that became available because of the new hospital opening,” Executive Director WA Hospitals John Fogarty said.

“It was great to see the interest from Ireland in how we are using technology developed in that country to help us find and recruit the right people into organisations.

“This is great example of how digital technology is enhancing our agility as an organisation to meet the recruitment demands now and into the future.”

The visit to the hospital also included a tour of the facilities led by Mr Fogarty and St John of God Subiaco Hospital Chief Executive Officer Professor Shirley Bowen followed by morning tea with the Sisters of St John of God, many of whom were born in Ireland or have family ties to the country.
