Welcoming Dana Anderson to Social Outreach as Manager Youth Services WA

Dana Anderson has recently joined St John of God Social Outreach as the new State Manager Youth Services for Western Australia.

In this role, Dana will lead the Horizon House program delivery for our seven houses across Western Australia, working to ensure vulnerable young people accessing the service are supported to develop critical life skills, set and achieve their goals and transition to living independently. St John of God Social Outreach Manager Youth Services WA Dana Anderson

Dana brings a wealth of experience within the youth sector and is committed to working with our Horizon House teams to support them in the outstanding work they do, ensuring our clients always remain at the centre of our program.

With over 30 years’ experience in youth work and vocational education, Dana is a dedicated youth specialist, and says she is looking forward to supporting Horizon House to continue to deliver a quality, person-centred and strength-based program.

“I’m excited to support the great work of the WA teams to help enrich the lives of vulnerable young people to equip them with the necessary skills to achieve their personal goals and thrive. Youth work is my background, and passion, and I’m eager to support Horizon House teams to deliver excellence in practice.”

Horizon House provides accommodation and support to young people aged 16-22 years who are currently experiencing, or are at serious risk of homelessness. 

With 13 Horizon Houses located across Australia, 37,193 nights of stable accommodation were provided to vulnerable young people in the financial year 2022-23.
