The job fair was the first event in a UK/Ireland roadshow, led by St John of God Health Care’s Group Director Nursing and Patient Experience Dani Meinema, to recruit for hard to fill positions.

Dani said that while a move to Australia was potentially exciting, it was also a big decision, and it was important to ensure that people had access to all the information they needed to choose St John of God Health Care over other providers, such as details of our hospitals, clinical opportunities and relocation support.

The team will attend health care worker job fairs and run briefing sessions at key locations throughout October, to promote St John of God Health Care as high quality, desirable Australian employer and run interviews.

“We’re off to a great start,” Dani said.

“Our goal is to promote St John of God Health Care as a high quality employer because the competition for health care workers in intense but we intend to bring home quality candidates to take the pressure of our existing caregivers.”
