Coming together as a community in the lead up to Christmas

At many of our hospitals, we have wonderful traditions of hosting mass in the lead up to the Christmas (including Christmas Eve) with celebrations held in our Chapels.

These celebrations become a gathering place which brings caregivers, patients and the wider community together in celebration of hope of fellowship.

Many families in the wider communities we serve join in for the occasion simply because it is such a sacred and special event.

Supported by caregiver or community choirs, or even just music, the mass gives us all a chance to come together and reflect on the year gone and the year ahead.

At a time when patients and caregivers are disconnected from their usual family celebrations, it is a significant contribution to the wellbeing and spiritual health of all involved.

The healing mission of Jesus is alive and well.
