Dr Beate Harrison is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Perinatal and Infant psychiatry.

Beate is the previous Head of the Mother Baby Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women and Newborns and she has a current sessional appointment in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at Perth Children's Hospital. She regularly supports parents with premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Perth Children's Hospital.

She has a private practice which specialises in Perinatal, Infant and Child Psychiatry. 

She enjoys working with woman and their families in the pregnancy and postnatal period to support them in having good choices for their emotional health. Her interests include medication and psychological management of mental illness including anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and depression during pregnancy and breast feeding. She has experience in supporting early parenting and mother-infant relationships.
