Dr Samuel Duff is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon who completed his specialist training in Perth, after graduating with honours from the University of Western Australia.

During his training he was awarded the Australian Medical Association Prize and the Campbell and Annie Murdoch Prize for the highest grades in his respective training years. In addition he was awarded The Royal Perth Hospital Prize in Medicine and the Medical Graduates Associates Prize.

He undertook further studies to complete orthopaedic specialist training with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

After completing his orthopaedic surgical training he worked as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Toowoomba, Queensland. He then completed fellowships in hip and knee surgery with Dr Price Gallie based at the Gold Coast University Hospital. Here he gained extensive experience with robotic knee replacement surgery, Anterior Cruciate ligament reconstruction and hip replacement and revision surgeries.

Following this he undertook a further fellowship in foot and ankle surgery with Dr Ben Forster and Dr Michael Lutz based at The Mater Hospital, Brisbane. Here he gained experience in sporting and occupational conditions of the foot and ankle. He has completed numerous visitations to gain insights from prominent orthopaedic surgeons.

He has special interests in anterior hip and knee arthroplasty, soft tissue / sports knee surgery, foot and ankle surgery and orthopaedic trauma.

Dr Duff qualified and worked as a physiotherapist and therefore understands the rehabilitation required after musculoskeletal injury and orthopaedic surgery.
