Lester Prize at St John of God Murdoch Hospital

The Lester Prize (formerly the Black Swan Prize) was established in 2007 and is one of the country’s richest prizes for portraiture.

St John of God Health Care has supported the competition since 2014 as part of its belief that the arts play a significant part in the healing and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

This year the finalists touring exhibition can be viewed at St John of God Murdoch and Subiaco Hospitals.

The range of high calibre portrait works from some of Australia's most talented artists who entered the 2020 Lester Prize are on display at St John of God Murdoch Hospital from 6 January to 8 February 2021.

Members of the public are welcome to view the collection in the linking corridor on the ground floor of the main hospital.

To celebrate the Lester Prize exhibition, community members have the chance to win a private portrait sitting with Western Australian Lester Prize finalist, Jill Ansell. Visit the exhibition and enter your favourite portrait via sjog.org.au/votenow.

Entries close Monday 8 February 2021. The winner will be randomly drawn from all entrants.
