24/7 Acute Cardiac Service

Our 24/7 Acute Cardiac Service provides emergency cardiac care for privately insured patients experiencing chest pain or other acute cardiac symptoms.

Existing patients with a relationship with one of our cardiac specialists can call the hospital directly for admission to the service on 0411 707 017.
New patients must be referred by a medical practitioner or ambulance transfer service. Please ask your medical practitioner or ambulance team to call 0411 707 017. You will be assessed against admission criteria.

Patients admitted to the service are taken directly to our state-of-the-art Coronary Care Unit and are cared for by our specialist cardiac nurses and cardiologists from Western Cardiology. Our team works quickly to assess, stabilise, and manage your condition.

This service is only available to individuals aged 18 years and over.

severe chest pain for longer than 15 minutes
severe shortness of breath
blackouts.
