The upgraded Salvado Road forecourt features a new canopy link connecting the multi-storey car park directly to the hospital’s main entry. Complemented by enhanced road and footpath finishes, the redesign ensures a seamless and efficient experience for patient drop offs and pick ups.

Director of Redevelopment Daniel Price said these improvements significantly elevate the hospital arrival experience, with extensive landscaping and modern design features welcoming patients and visitors.

“The completion of this space enhances the functionality and presentation of our campus, ensuring our facilities reflect the high standard of care delivered within the hospital.”

The milestone was marked with an official blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by City of Subiaco Mayor David McMullen and CEO Colin Cameron, Town of Cambridge Mayor Gary Mack, and the Sisters of St John of God. The event also welcomed St John of God Health Care Group Board Member Peter Prendiville and Group CEO Bryan Pyne.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital CEO Tina Chinery thanked the hospital community for their patience and support throughout construction.

"We are incredibly grateful to our patients, visitors, and caregivers for their understanding whilst these improvement works were undertaken,” she said.

Stage Two of the redevelopment project is set to reach completion later this year.

The hospital’s transformation continues with the recent commencement of Stage Three, centred on the construction of a new six-storey clinical building which will enable the hospital to significantly expand its services and strengthen clinical capability to further improve the patient experience.
