St John of God Subiaco Hospital Director of Nursing, Clinical Operations & Excellence Jenny Brenton said “Our nurses and midwives are the heart of our hospital and their values driven care is what makes our organisation so special.”

“With the presence of COVID 19 in the wider community, they have gone above and beyond to create the safest possible environment for our patients and to protect the health and wellness of our entire hospital community."

“Their resilience and dedication to others is inspiring and makes a significant difference to the lives of those they care for.”

Members of the hospital’s senior nursing leadership team delivered cupcakes to nurses and midwives across the hospital’s wards and departments to personally thank and celebrate the day with them.

In addition, St John of God Subiaco Hospital’s Director of Mission delivered a prayer over the hospital’s loudspeakers.

This provided caregivers, patients and visitors the opportunity to pause and reflect on the invaluable contributions nurses and midwives make to the hospital and wider community.
