Works have commenced on St John of God Subiaco Hospital’s main entry forecourt upgrade as part of the redevelopment.

Director of Redevelopment Daniel Price said the upgraded forecourt would create a more inviting entrance for patients and visitors, and better connect the hospital with the wider community. This upgrade will also ensure the campus entrance remains contemporary.

The main entry forecourt area will remain closed until early 2026, with the taxi collection point and patient drop off and pick up area relocating from the Salvado Road main entrance to the medical clinic entrance at 25 McCourt Street, Subiaco.

Throughout the works, access to the main multi-storey car park will not be affected and will remain accessible at all times from Salvado Road.

“We’re grateful for the community support as we undertake this next essential phase of our redevelopment works,” Daniel said.

“During the closure of the forecourt area, caregivers and volunteers will be assigned to both the Salvado Road and McCourt Street entrances to provide wayfinding support to patients and visitors.

“Additional signage and wayfinding has been installed throughout the hospital to help people find where they need to go.”

Following completion, the upgraded main entry forecourt will include a new link canopy from the multi-storey car park to the main entrance, with cladding installation at the car park, main entrance and balconies. Improvements also include road and footpath enhancements and extensive landscaping.
