The full-day event will be held onsite in the hospital’s conference centre from 7.00am to 6.00pm, and will provide registered and enrolled nurses and registered midwives the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the hospital’s values driven culture.

Attendees will also meet with future colleagues and senior leadership team members, and potentially go home with a job offer in-hand following an interview at the event.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital Acting Director of Nursing Ellen Almond said Subiaco Jobsfest is an exciting opportunity for nurses and midwives across the public and private sectors who are looking for new professional opportunities.

“We look forward to welcoming future caregivers onsite, introducing them to our hospital and the many benefits available to them, and growing our teams,” she said.

“St John of God Subiaco Hospital is undergoing an exciting period of expansion, and we need to ensure we continue to invest in our workforce so that we can deliver the highest standard of safe clinical care and services to the community into the future.”

In the past year alone, St John of God Subiaco Hospital has doubled the number of interventional pain procedures performed, and has welcomed St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital’s maternity service onsite, significantly increasing the number of babies being born at the hospital.

In addition, works specific to the hospital’s major redevelopment project are well-underway. The staged redevelopment is the largest in the hospital’s 126 year history and will ensure the campus remains a world-class private hospital of clinical excellence. It includes the construction of a new eight storey clinical block that will feature a dedicated Mother and Baby Centre, Heart Centre and six new operating theatres.

Ellen added “This is an incredibly transformative period for our hospital that will benefit the health and wellness of Western Australians for years to come. There’s never been a more exciting time for nurses and midwives to join our hospital community and contribute to our culture of excellence.”

“St John of God Subiaco Hospital also offers almost all elective specialties, as well as ICU, maternity, neonatology/NICU, neurology, interventional radiology and complex cancer services, all on the one campus. This, along with our hospital’s investment in the ongoing professional development of our caregivers, means nurses and midwives can access a variety of opportunities and experiences.”
