St John of God Subiaco Hospital announces Acting CEO

Ms Brenton succeeds former CEO Prof Shirley Bowen, who has assumed the position of Chief Executive at North Metropolitan Health Service.

Ms Brenton has held senior management roles in both the public and private health care sectors, bringing significant clinical and commercial expertise to the role.   

For the past four and a half years, Ms Brenton has held the position of St John of God Subiaco Hospital Director of Nursing, Clinical Operations and Excellence. In this role, Ms Brenton has maintained a focus on patient safety and quality, implemented a contemporary nursing leadership model, led the hospital through successful accreditation and had a pivotal role in clinical planning for the redevelopment. 

Ms Brenton said that she was grateful for the opportunity to lead the hospital during such a pivotal time in the organisation’s 124 year history.

“In addition to managing our hospital’s COVID-19 response efforts, I look forward to overseeing the hospital’s transformation as initial stages of the major redevelopment project progress,” she said.

“I would like to thank members of the Hospital Management Committee for their continued support and leadership during this period of transition.”
