Generous donations to St Vincent's Winter Appeal

The Pastoral Services team has been overwhelmed by our caregiver’s generosity and their donations of new and second hand items such blankets, warm clothing and non-perishable food items.

Over 116,000 women, children and men are at risk of homelessness on any given night in Australia.

Winter is an especially difficult time of year if you are homeless or can’t pay for heating or other essentials.

Every year St John of God Subiaco Hospital participates in the St Vinnies Winter appeal.

What feels like a small donation for one person can make a real positive difference to someone else.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital Manager Pastoral Services Suranga Amaratunga said it was incredible to see the willingness of our caregivers to participate in this cause.

“Thanks to the kindness of our caregivers, these donations will help to keep some people warm this winter,” he said.
