Welcome to our new Director of Nursing

We would like to welcome aboard Andriy Kurtsev, who has been successfully appointed to the role of Director of Nursing and Patient Experience at St John of God Bendigo Hospital. Andriy officially began his new permanent role on Monday 6th April. 

Andriy has been with us at Bendigo in his role as the Acting Director of Nursing and Patient Experience since February 2020. Prior to this Andriy was the Deputy Director of Nursing (Medical and Acute Services) at St John of God Murdoch Hospital in Perth. 

Andriy has previously led and supported the clinical care and workforce of over 170 beds and across several nursing teams. Andriy, an experienced ICU nurse, has also previously worked at St John of God Geelong Hospital as a Nurse Unit Manager. Prior to this he has held other nursing management and advanced practice roles. Andriy holds tertiary qualifications in nursing as well as a Master’s in Business Economics and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture.
