St John of God Bendigo Hospital signs Disability Employment Collaboration

On Friday 15th January 2016 St John of God Bendigo Hospital’s CEO Darren Rogers signed Collaboration Agreements with three disability employment services located within the city of Bendigo.

The Agreement signing was attended by CEO’s from Access Australia, Community Axis Enterprises and Western District Employment Access.

This action represents the culmination of successful engagement with Disability Employment Services over
the past two years and positions St John of God Bendigo
to further create opportunities for people with disability
to access interviews and develop their careers as caregivers.

“Since July 2013 St John of God Bendigo has employed 11 people with disability through partnership with Disability Employment Services and with the completion of the hospital redevelopment is set to employ many more,” said Mr Rogers.

“Importantly the signing of these agreements role models to the Bendigo community that people with disability are employable, that they possess the levels of excellence for any employer to consider and that the resources exist to ensure successful appointments in the short and long term.”

St John of God Bendigo Hospital is thrilled to be working with the three local Disability Employment Services.
