St John of God Bendigo Hospital 10th Annual Art Exhibition

This year is St John of God Bendigo Hospital’s 10th Annual Art Exhibition. The Art Exhibition is held each year to raise funds for the hospital auxiliary, with new equipment purchased for various wards of the hospital with the proceeds.

Each year the art exhibition runs for two weeks, showcasing works of art from a variety of local artists.

This year we have ten artists, with various works including paintings and digital images. It is a wonderful opportunity for these artists to showcase their work as well as giving a little something back to the hospital with a percentage of their sales being donated back to St John of God Bendigo Hospital.

This year’s artists include Arkeria Rose Armstrong, Col Brown, Sharon Greenaway, Joe Jakitsch, Terry Jarvis, Heather McKean, Kate Monotti, Geoff Paynter, Stan Thomas and Ben Winspear.

We celebrated with a cocktail opening evening in which guest enjoyed wine supplied by local winery Pondalowie Vineyards and cheese and canapés, prepared by our catering team, all sourced locally in order to support our local farming community.

We teamed up with Radius, in which all $5 door ticket proceeds will be donated to the Morley’s Community Art Space. We raised $255 from the night, which has gone directly to this wonderful initiative.

Morley’s Community Art Space is open for everyone in our community to use, right in the heart of Bendigo.

It’s a space for art making, pottery and digital art forms. The studio is available during their normal open hours and there is no charge to use this space to make art, hold a workshop or bring friends together for a creative session.
