St John of God Health Care announced on St John of God Day and International Women’s Day the 68 caregivers awarded a scholarship.

As part of our organisation’s commitment to recognising and promoting excellence, St John of God Health Care offers three scholarships to support caregiver development; the Sister Bridget Clancy Scholarship for the Empowerment of Women through Education, the St John of God Health Care Scholarship, and the St John of God Health Care Midwifery Scholarship.

Sister Bridget Clancy Scholarship for the Empowerment of Women through Education

The Sister Bridget Clancy Scholarship for the Empowerment of Women through Education, sponsored by the Sisters of St John of God, was established in 2022, in celebration the 150th anniversary of the Sister's foundation, supports caregivers undertaking or intending to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate studies in leadership development or fields related to women’s health.

St John of God Health Care Scholarship

The St John of God Health Care Scholarship rewards and recognises performance excellence, supports caregiver development and enables caregivers to make strong and positive contributions to the life of St John of God Health Care.



37 clinical caregivers have been awarded this scholarship in 2024 to support them to pursue further education.

St John of God Health Care Midwifery Scholarship

The St John of God Health Care Midwifery Scholarship supports caregivers undertaking studies to become a qualified midwife, and directly help address our midwife requirements amidst a global shortage of these skilled health care workers.



This year, 11 caregivers were the successful recipients of this scholarship.
