Accreditation at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
Accreditation as a specialist practitioner is available to specialists who:
- are certified by the relevant clinical college
- hold full Western Australian Medical Board registration
- are recognised as a specialist for the payment of medical benefits by the Health Insurance Commission.
To admit patients and to operate at St John of God Subiaco Hospital, all specialists must be accredited to hold clinical privileges at the hospital.

By-laws and code of conduct
All accredited medical practitioners and service providers are expected to adhere to our code of conduct and practitioner by-laws. These documents govern the relationship between St John of God Health Care and its accredited practitioners, and set expectations for professional conduct, patient safety and the delivery of quality care at our hospitals and services. Practitioners will receive both documents following successful credentialing.
St John of God Subiaco Clinic
The St John of God Subiaco Clinic is a purpose-built specialist medical centre offering accredited visiting medical officers (VMOs) the opportunity to lease a dedicated space for their private practice.
The clinic is situated at 25 McCourt Street, providing a central and convenient location for VMOs and patients on the hospital campus. It comprises 50 suites which vary in size from 50sqm to 650sqm.
Tenant car parking bays on the hospital campus can be arranged.
The clinic has direct lift access to the hospital’s operating theatres and is a short walk to our labour ward.
