Our Pregnancy, Baby and Beyond Clinic offers you comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care, including lactation support, foetal monitoring, pre-admission phone calls, and 6 week baby check-ups with our consultant neonatologists.
The clinic’s compassionate midwives, lactation consultants and experienced neonatologists provide personalised care to support you through pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester.

Before and during your pregnancy
Gestational diabetes service
This service is designed for women who have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and are giving birth at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.
Our credentialled diabetes educators and accredited practising dietitian offer you personalised support and guidance during an in-person session at our hospital.
Our team provides education on the following topics to help you understand and manage your condition:
- understanding GDM and why managing the condition is important
- diet management of GDM
- additional strategies to reduce risk
- insulin educatio
If you would like to access this service, please speak to your obstetrician for a referral. Once we have your referral, you will receive an email to confirm your place, and our diabetes educator will contact you to schedule an appointment.
On the day, our educator will meet you in the foyer outside the Pregnancy, Baby and Beyond Clinic located on Level 3, Suite 320 of the Medical Clinic. You are welcome to bring a support person along with you.
Please note that Medicare rebates are not available for these services. Please check with your private health fund directly to see if you may be eligible for a rebate, which depends on your fund and level of cover. Costs are outlined below.
