If you need urgent pain management, your pain specialist can arrange for you to be admitted to St John of God Subiaco Hospital at short notice for an interventional procedure or acute care.

If you are already staying in the hospital, you can be quickly referred to our pain service by your treating specialist, helping to avoid long wait times and ensuring you receive the care you need as soon as possible.

We are the only private hospital in Western Australia with a dedicated pain nurse who can carry out advanced pain assessments, prescribe pain medications, order diagnostic tests, and refer you to other health care providers if needed. Our compassionate pain team includes experienced clinical pain nurses, along with skilled surgical nurses, who assist with interventional pain procedures.

Our hospital is supported by Western Australia’s largest group of accredited pain medicine specialists. Together with experienced consultants who have a special interest in acute pain care, our team provides personalised support to help you better manage your pain.
